Jacques has presented solo double bass works for the Sydney Biennale and Museum of Contemporary Art Australia. His debut EP ARCO was released on his own label PEOPLE SOUND in 2022, followed by the single Canto (Live Version) in 2024. In 2024 Jacques developed and self-produced SUMMONING, a 90-minute ‘deep listening ritual’ with lighting states designed by Erin Nortje. Jacques’ debut full length double bass release is forthcoming.

ethereal and ecstatic polyrhythmic encounters with drum kit, singing bowls, tuning forks, and detuned guitars played with drumsticks. plaintive tapestries of microtonal harmony between guitar and singing bowls, deluges of rapid sticking workouts on skins and metallic percussion. a hypnotic barrage of “acoustic glitch” designed for maximum freak out pleasure.

BIKE THIEF is a high-octane rhythmic unit. music for the club bashed out on drums, bass, and samplers. debut EP forthcoming.

longstanding creative project of wife/husband duo chloe kim 김예지 and jacques emery. instead of repeating the same repertoire, each performance re-iterates upon our mutual wandering fascinations, usually involving various percussion, gesture and movement, “games” as compositional form, electronics and spatialised audio, as well as our home base of drum kit and double bass.

borne from years of composition through home-recording projects, the wellspring is a large ensemble devoted to improvising as a swarm, navigating structures of eroded repetition and half-forgotten music from dreams.

the ensemble debuted at laurence pike’s strata festival 2023 at phoenix central park with the following lineup:
